Covering: Guildford, Woking, Farnham, Aldershot, Camberley, Godalming and the rest of the GU postcode area.
The local landmark: Guildford Cathedral crowns Stag Hill above the town, with the cobbled setts of the historic High Street running down towards the River Wey.
Students: The University of Surrey's campus sits beside the cathedral on Stag Hill, and the University for the Creative Arts has a campus in Farnham.
On the ground: Commuter semis and new build flats cluster around the stations, with some steep and narrow streets in the older town centres. Kerbside works well here: have everything at the door and the driver loads.
Who makes this move: Classic commuter belt traffic in both directions, with families moving out along the A3 for schools and space while keeping their London jobs.
While you wait for the van: Lewis Carroll, author of Alice in Wonderland, spent his later years in Guildford and is buried at the Mount Cemetery above the town.
